The World's Most Magical Celebration
October 1, 2021 - March 2023

On October 1, 2021, the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando kicks off its 50th Anniversary celebration.  Over 18 months, each of the four parks will join in "the world's most magical celebration" with each of the park's icons being lit up as "Beacons of Magic".  Special gold accent bunting and icon will adorn Cinderella Castle and a new lighting package will be a permanent addition to Spaceship Earth.

A new "EARidescent" fabric costume for Mickey and Minnie will help to mark this major milestone of the park.

On March 9, 2021, Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced that the France expansion will completely open, including Remy's Ratatouille Adventure on October 1, 2021 (the start date of the 50th anniversary celebration).

During the 18-month long anniversary each of the park's icons will receive a special overlay called Beacons of Magic, as well as 50 gold statues of popular Disney characters will be spread across the parks to search out.

On October 1, 2021, the delayed opening of Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT will finally occur, as well as new fireworks shows Harmonious in EPCOT and Enchantment, a replacement to the popular Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular at the Magic Kingdom.

As more information becomes available, it will be added to this page so stay "tooned" for updates.
