RUNDISNEY

Experience Disney for Runners

Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris both offer marathon races for runners.  These popular events occur at various times of the year.  Disney Resorts also have unique running experiences for those passionate about getting a few kilometers of running in while on vacation.  Participants also usually receive a unique medal for each race as a special keepsake, along with the chance to purchase special runDisney merchandise for the event.

To find out more about Disney Marathons, as well as the new Club runDisney (a club designed for runDisney), a great resource is the runDisney website.

Resort Running Trails

There are many trails at Walt Disney World Resorts which include the path around Hourglass Lake between Disney’s Art of Animation and Disney’s Pop Century Resorts, along with the many other paths at other resorts (such as Disney’s Port Orleans and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort).

There is a word of caution though when running at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, signs may be posted (particularly along bodies of water) to be aware of your surroundings as there may be snakes and alligators (we’re not kidding) around them and so it is important that you remain on the lookout for them.
