Typhoon Lagoon is a water park close to Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The park's backstory is that a typhoon hit a tropical paradise that caused path of destruction with boats strewn everywhere, including the Miss Tilly shrimp boat which landed atop Mount Mayday.

Mount Mayday has several water slides on it for those seeking thrills, the Castaway Creek lazy river (640 meters long) and is also home to one of the world’s largest wave pools. A surf school is also at Typhoon Lagoon where guests can take surfing lessons.
