ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE

Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of the most popular resorts at Walt Disney World.  In the Deluxe category, you will find this resort is full of great food and experiences, and is home to a huge collection of African art.

The only drawback to this hotel is that it is very far away from literally everything and so you can routinely expect long bus rides on Disney Transport buses to get to the parks and Disney Springs.  That said, having a savanna view room and waking up to a giraffe out your window makes those trips worth it for many of its guests.

Divided into Jambo House (the main building), Kidani Village (DVC area), the hotel is home to popular restaurants Jiko (a Disney signature restaurant serving African inspired dishes), Boma (buffet), and Mara (quick service), and Victoria Falls Lounge, along with Zawadi Marketplace, which is the resort shop.

There are tours of the Savanna with gourmet meal or dine with an animal specialist and classes where guests learn to paint wildlife, all of which are an additional cost.

There are also wine tastings, campfires, and other experiences available.

Finally, similar to all Deluxe resorts, you'll find a multiple pools, a fitness center, and spa on site.

One thing you will need to keep in mind is that, similar to Animal Kingdom, no balloons are allowed on resort property so they'll need to be checked with Guest Services if you have them.
