December 2020 is NOT at all the way Disney planned to celebrating it when the year began. For one thing, three resorts are currently closed (Anaheim, Hong Kong, and Paris). There will be no in-person firework shows (albeit some are launched as part of the castle projection show), and the parks look very different.
All that said, despite global COVID-19 case counts rising, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel, Disney is ramping up Disney+, a Christmas show will still air on ABC, and the company has done what it could to bring us some festive cheer.
Although it isn't what we expected, and definitely not what any of us wanted, at least it's something and it will hopefully make the 2021 holiday season so much more special.
